Full retirement age is 66, not 65, in 2013. However, your analysis still applies. And yes, it's next to impossible to reenter the workforce. The best bet for seniors could be starting a home-based business centered on a personal interest or skill.

The best thing President Obama can to do to help his reelection is to forego campaigning this week and "act Presidential." I was once told by a psycologist that the people who get confused the most are those who didn't spend enough time crawling on the floor as a child. They were either confined to play cribs or encouraged to walk too soon. I know I was not allowed to crawl as a baby, so it seemed logical to me.
